BG Rectifier
The BG is a half-wave rectifier with overvoltage protection. It is supplied as standard for
motor frame sizes 56 – 100. During starting, it provides normal brake release. During
stopping, it produces normal reaction or rapid reaction, depending on the wiring. Rapid
reaction is available by using an auxiliary contact from the motor starter.
The BG rectifier is recommended for applications with occasional braking and infrequent
starting and stopping.
