These Terms of Service govern the use of SpareFaber.com and purchases made through the SpareFaber online store.

Store purpose

SpareFaber supplies industrial automation products, electrical and electronic components, machine spare parts, obsolete components and related products.

Certain products may be new, new old stock, surplus, refurbished, repaired or used. The applicable condition will be stated on the product page, quotation, invoice or order confirmation.

Product identification and compatibility

Manufacturer names, trademarks, model numbers and part numbers are used to identify and describe compatible products.

Unless expressly stated, SpareFaber is not necessarily an authorised distributor, representative or affiliate of every manufacturer whose products appear on the website.

The customer is responsible for verifying:

Photographs may be representative. The written part number and confirmed specification take priority where minor cosmetic differences exist.

Availability

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

Risk and responsibility for a shipment transfer according to the agreed shipping arrangement and applicable law.

Duties and import requirements

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing:

The customer is responsible for destination-country import requirements.
The recipient acts as importer of record.
Customs duties, import taxes and clearance charges are not included.
The customer must provide any importer identification, tax number, licence or permit required for clearance.

SpareFaber is not responsible for delays, seizure, rejection or additional charges resulting from missing importer documents, restricted imports or failure to pay destination charges.

Export controls and lawful use

Products must not be exported, re-exported, transferred or used contrary to applicable laws, sanctions, trade controls or end-use restrictions.

The customer confirms that products will not be used for an unlawful or prohibited purpose.

We may request end-user, end-use, destination or company information and may refuse or cancel an order where legal or compliance concerns exist.

Installation and use

Industrial components should be selected, installed, programmed, commissioned and maintained by appropriately qualified personnel.

The customer is responsible for:

Safe installation
Correct wiring
Correct voltage and polarity
Suitable environmental conditions
Machine compatibility
Required safety systems
Compliance with applicable technical standards
Backup of programs, parameters and machine data

SpareFaber is not responsible for loss caused by improper selection, installation, programming, modification, operation or maintenance.

Returns and refunds

Returns, cancellations, replacements and refunds are governed by the SpareFaber Returns and Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Warranties

Any applicable product warranty will be stated on the product page, quotation, invoice or order confirmation.

Except where required by law, no warranty should be assumed beyond the warranty expressly stated.

Manufacturer warranties remain subject to manufacturer terms and procedures.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SpareFaber will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including:

Machine downtime
Loss of profit
Loss of contracts

Loss of programming
Business interruption
Labour or installation costs
Third-party penalties

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Intellectual property

Website text, layout, branding, graphics and original content belonging to SpareFaber may not be copied, reproduced or commercially used without permission.

Third-party trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners.

Customer communications

By placing an order, the customer agrees to receive transactional communications concerning:

Marketing communications will be handled according to the customer’s consent choices and the Privacy Policy.
