Core Working Principles
Absolute Measurement: Uses an optical or magnetic disc to give an exact position value the moment it turns on, split into single-turn (steps per revolution) and multi-turn (total revolutions tracked).
PROFIBUS DP Protocol: Connects directly to a PLC or controller using cyclical data exchange for real-time speed and position feedback.
Encoder Classes: Divided into Class 1 (basic fixed position values) and Class 2 (fully programmable parameters like resolution, counting direction, and scaling)

GSD Files: Requires a manufacturer device master file (GSD) loaded into the PLC software to configure network parameters and node addresses.
